At OrthoIndy Hospital Northwest, we are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Patient Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our clinical support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical scheduling process.
Key Responsibilities:- Schedule all surgical procedures at designated facilities, ensuring timely and efficient coordination with patients and providers.
- Obtain and schedule any necessary medical clearance, as well as schedule first post-operative appointments and physical or occupational therapy sessions.
- Manage the surgery schedule, including case ordering and communication with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and arrival times.
- Triage patient concerns related to symptoms and treatment, maintaining open communication with providers regarding patient care recommendations.
- Manage patient prescription refill requests and arrange provider peer-to-peer reviews when necessary.
- Coordinate referrals ordered by assigned providers and work closely with the prior authorization team for surgical or procedural authorization.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Athletic trainer, LPN, or Medical Assistant certification required.
- 2-4 years of healthcare experience required; 4-6 years preferred.
- Spine experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
