Impactful Role
The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC)/Charge RN is responsible for providing daily leadership to ensure the smooth operation of the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. In this role, you will demonstrate excellence in clinical care, customer service, critical thinking, scheduling, relationship management, and organizational abilities. You will possess the authority and independence to achieve optimal clinical and customer satisfaction outcomes while effectively guiding your team.

The PCC will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with a skilled team in this 18-bed unit. You will care for a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac conditions, patients on bipap machines, and individuals requiring vasoactive drips, encompassing both surgical and medical cases. Some patients may necessitate a higher level of care.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Exemplary relationship-building, communication, and teamwork skills, coupled with a positive attitude and calm demeanor; adept at multitasking with strong organizational, time management, and prioritization capabilities; skilled in delegation, critical thinking, and managing challenging situations professionally.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program recognized by the National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA), or possess three years of relevant professional nursing experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as per the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in a specialty area or a related field is preferred.
