Gpac is seeking a highly skilled Survey Crew Chief to lead our geospatial projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for gathering field survey data, supervising a survey crew, and ensuring the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of geospatial projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Survey Operations: Conduct field surveys, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, wetland, and tree location surveys, as well as construction layout and related fieldwork.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a survey crew, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all survey data is accurate, complete, and meets the required standards.
- Communication: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in survey crew work or equivalent.
- Skills: Proficiency in operating total station instruments, GPS rovers, and levels; competence in basic field calculations; leadership skills to supervise a survey crew.
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required; formal survey-related training is advantageous.
- Personal Qualities: Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to work accurately and efficiently; good moral character, clean driving record, and the ability to obtain a TWIC card.
