Job Summary

The Freestyle Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Freestyle shipping and receiving areas. This includes ensuring that trucks are loaded properly, carriers receive dock assignments, all paperwork is completed in full, and product is moved to the proper distribution locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate interdepartmentally to safeguard the movement of goods while maximizing efficiencies and delivering high-level customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain standard work procedures.
  • Print and complete all Freestyle LTL paperwork.
  • Coordinate the receiving and inducting of BBP loads.
  • Coordinate the receiving and inducting of paperboard loads.
  • Field all customer service emails pertaining to Freestyle and escalate as needed.
  • Review Freestyle orders 2-3 days in advance for customer service issues and request support when needed.
  • Work with shipping coordinators to supply Freestyle product for the loaders through communications.
  • Communicate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Coordinate the building, loading, and paperwork completion for Canada loads with leads.
  • Receive, store, and distribute material and product, as required.
  • Identify non-conforming product.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation.
  • Perform audits, as scheduled, and requested.
  • Research inventory discrepancies, as needed.
  • Consolidate bills of lading for transfer to the shipping office.
  • Learn and follow all prescribed good manufacturing practice (GMP), safety, attendance, and rules of conduct guidelines.
  • Available to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when required.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the development of skills. Works well in a team environment, across functional boundaries.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and safety procedures.
  • Ability to record information.
  • Ability to move 65 lbs., a distance of at least 5 ft.
  • Visual ability to identify container and equipment problems.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate small objects.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (2 hours).
Work Environment

All Coca-Cola, Syrup branch work is performed on a production floor, yard, and Shipping office. Work requires exposure to moderate noise levels, working around moving equipment, confined spaces, wetness, fumes, subject to hazards, including working with or near moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to toxic/hazardous chemicals.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of related experience in distribution/shipping leadership required.
  • Demonstrate leadership in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability is expected.
  • Excellent leadership skills including development, supervision, and accountability.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to quality.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service-focused and results-driven.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with proven problem-solving ability.
  • Operational knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices, including OSHA regulations, forklift certification, and training.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to understand, record, and communicate material and product information.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, Excel, and have good computer skills.
  • Good attendance and performance record.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift. Forklift experience is a must.
  • Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and pushing/pulling (Up to 65lbs).
  • Ability to work on multiple levels, such as catwalks, ladders, etc. and ability to work in extreme temperatures.
  • Manual and finger dexterity.
  • Ability to grip, grasp, and squeeze materials, parts, hand tools, and products.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under stressful situations.
  • Ability to work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shift or required necessary hours to meet the business requirements.
  • This may include overtime and weekend work as necessary.
  • Must be able to use a computer and associated software programs.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner to ensure achievement of Quality, Service, and Cost objectives.
  • Ability to participate in job development training (i.e. trouble-shooting, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must train as a warehouse operator II (Warehouse Technician) as a finisher building pallets and loader of product on trucks.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift.
