Job Overview

The Frozen Goods Selector plays a crucial role in managing the inventory of frozen products. This position involves the packing, retrieval, restocking, and inventory management of all frozen items stored in our facility. The individual will utilize both manual and powered equipment for efficient material handling, including reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks.

The Frozen Goods Selector is responsible for ensuring proper product rotation and maintaining a tidy and organized workspace. Accuracy in inventory and order picking is essential before dispatching products, along with participation in regular inventory audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and assess incoming frozen products
  • Pick and package orders according to the established release schedule
  • Organize, rotate, and verify current inventory levels
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
  • Utilize warehouse management systems and handheld scanning devices
  • Safely operate manual and powered pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Efficiently use reach trucks to retrieve and replenish products as needed
  • Report any damaged products, low inventory levels, or discrepancies to management
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating ride-on pallet jacks and forklifts
  • At least 3 years of experience operating reach trucks
  • 3+ years of experience in a warehouse setting
  • Familiarity with racking systems and optimizing storage
  • Ability to work full shifts in sub-zero temperatures
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in reading labels and related documentation
Additional Requirements
  • Capability to lift 30-50 pounds
  • Willingness to work up to 10-hour shifts, primarily standing or walking
  • Manual dexterity for tasks requiring fine manipulation and physical exertion
  • Ability to perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions
  • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning agents
  • Comfortable working in both wet and dry environments
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, with potential weekend shifts
  • Competence in using tools and equipment, including knives
