Job Overview

The Frozen Goods Order Selector plays a crucial role in managing the inventory of all frozen products within our facility. This position involves packing, retrieving, restocking, and tracking frozen items. The individual will utilize various material handling equipment, including rider reach trucks, forklifts, power pallet jacks, and scanning systems to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of products.

The Frozen Goods Order Selector is responsible for maintaining product rotation and ensuring a clean and organized workspace. Accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment is essential, as is assisting with periodic inventory assessments.

This role reports to the Supervisor of Frozen and Specialty Products or the Shipping & Receiving Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and assess incoming frozen products
  • Pick and pack orders according to the release schedule
  • Organize, rotate, and verify existing inventory
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
  • Utilize warehouse management systems and handheld scanners
  • Safely operate manual and ride-on pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Efficiently use reach trucks for product retrieval and replenishment
  • Report any product damage, low inventory levels, or discrepancies to management
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating ride-on pallet jacks and forklifts
  • At least 3 years of experience operating a rider reach truck
  • 3+ years of experience in a warehouse setting
  • Familiarity with racking systems and maximizing storage efficiency
  • Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in reading labels and related documentation
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
  • Willingness to work up to 10-hour shifts, primarily standing or walking
  • Capability to perform tasks involving bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning agents
  • Comfortable working in both wet and dry environments
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, with potential weekend shifts
  • Proficient in using tools and equipment, including knives
