Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services as a Senior Public Health Project Coordinator.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to lead projects related to maternal and child health, behavioral health, chronic disease, and other public health special projects. The successful candidate will work under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior-level consultative services and technical assistance to agency leadership in inter- and intra-agency program coordination for CHI.
  • Oversee high-profile projects and assignments related to state and federal laws, project planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Conduct specialized research projects, studies, and analysis, including needs assessment and surveillance, health impact assessment, and economic evaluation.
  • Collaborate with CHI program staff to ensure performance measure needs and processes meet federal or state funding requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong understanding of state and federal laws related to public health administration and project management.
  • Experience in project planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • An ability to analyze statistical data and peer-reviewed literature to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to develop presentations for diverse audiences.
