Possess a profound understanding of chemical and material sciences, engineering principles, and the development of pharmaceutical dosage forms, particularly regarding how physicochemical properties influence formulation development and product quality.
- Experience with lab-scale production equipment including tableting, granulation, blending, milling, spray drying, coating, and drying.
- Proven track record of addressing complex technical challenges and exhibiting leadership in a scientific context.
- Background in developing small molecule formulations for clinical applications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and planning abilities, coupled with a high level of technical proficiency and creativity.
- Solid knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Demonstrated capability to apply scientific principles in designing, executing, and interpreting experiments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse, interdisciplinary team environment, focusing on innovative problem-solving.
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as PXRD, TGA, DSC, HPLC, GC, GC/MS, NMR, FTIR, and UV.
- Proficient in standard software applications (MS Office Suite, ChemDraw, SciFinder, Statistical Design, Electronic Lab Notebooks).
Educational background should include a degree in chemical engineering, pharmaceutical science, materials science, or a related physical science, with a PhD and a minimum of 3 years of experience, an MS with at least 10 years, or a BS with 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical development.
Experience with Process Analytical Technology (PAT), Chemometrics, Continuous Manufacturing, and/or Quality by Design (QbD) is preferred.
