About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist, Development to join our team at Corner Therapeutics. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in progressing our adjuvant programs by supporting particulate-based formulation, analytical, and process development activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments to develop and optimize nanoparticle-based formulations for immunotherapy applications.
  • Characterize and synthesize drug products and particulate-based formulations, developing new analytical assays as needed.
  • Develop synthesis processes to support smaller-batch preclinical studies and future scale-up during development.
  • Screen particulate formulations in vitro in cell-based assays, evaluating cellular responses using plate-based assays, microscopy, or multi-color flow cytometry.
  • Prepare technical presentations for clear communication of scientific findings across interdisciplinary internal teams and company leadership.
  • Author and review technical reports for regulatory filings.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Record and maintain all relevant data in an electronic laboratory notebook.
Requirements
  • PhD in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Biochemistry, Biology, or related discipline with 1+ years industry experience.
  • M.S. in similar discipline with 6+ years of industry research experience.
  • Expertise in formulation and/or process development of LNPs, liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, or similar is required.
  • Hands-on experience with nanoparticle characterization and RNA quantitation assays (DLS, zeta potential, TEM, Ribogreen, PAGE, UV-Vis, HPLC-CAD/ELSD/RI, etc) is required.
  • Familiarity with micro-fluidic techniques for nanoparticle manufacturing and scale-up.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on interdisciplinary teams.
  • Adaptability to learn and apply new technical knowledge, manage multiple projects, or accommodate changing priorities as new data is generated.
  • Practiced aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with immunological and biological assays (ELISA, flow cytometry) is a plus.
