Position Overview: The Cook is accountable for the quality, quantity, and timely delivery of daily meal production. This role involves preparing meals according to Parkhurst’s established recipes and standards while adhering to strict sanitation protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals in accordance with Parkhurst recipes and implement batch cooking techniques.
  • Ensure the quality and quantity of food served during service periods, utilizing production sheets.
  • Maintain proper presentation of food items, ensuring appropriate utensils and garnishes are used as per recipe specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding daily food items and service requirements.
  • Complete daily production documentation accurately.
  • Store and date all food items properly to ensure safety and quality.
  • Adhere to HACCP guidelines when managing leftovers.
  • Follow the cleaning schedule provided by management, employing a clean-as-you-go approach.
  • Maintain open communication with management regarding inventory and supply needs.
  • Comply with the uniform dress code and uphold high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Embrace Parkhurst’s Gold Standards and hospitality imperatives.
  • Support fellow team members whenever possible.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands for this role include standing and/or walking for the entirety of the shift and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs.
