Position Overview: The Cook is accountable for the quality, quantity, and punctuality of meal production each day. This role involves preparing food according to Parkhurst's recipes, standards, and procedures while adhering to strict sanitation protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals following Parkhurst recipes and implement batch cooking techniques.
  • Ensure food quality and maintain appropriate quantities throughout service periods by utilizing production sheets.
  • Present food attractively on the line, ensuring the correct use of pans, garnishes, and utensils, while maintaining proper serving temperatures as dictated by recipes or management.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, including line servers, regarding daily food item specifics.
  • Complete daily production documentation accurately.
  • Store and date all food items appropriately.
  • Adhere to HACCP guidelines when handling leftovers.
  • Follow the cleaning schedule as directed by management, employing 'clean as you go' practices.
  • Maintain open communication with management regarding necessary products and supplies.
  • Comply with the uniform dress code and uphold high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Embrace Parkhurst's Gold Standards and Smile Plus hospitality principles.
  • Support fellow team members whenever possible.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
