About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Parkhurst Dining, a leading provider of culinary services to organizations and universities east of the Mississippi. As a Cook, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality meals to our clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and upholding the Parkhurst Gold Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare food according to Parkhurst recipes, enforcing the batch cooking method and maintaining the quality and quantity of food throughout the service period.
  • Line Presentation: Ensure proper line presentation, utilizing production sheets, and maintaining food products at the proper serving temperatures as specified by recipes or management.
  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with other associates, e.g., line servers, concerning specific information about food items on a daily basis.
  • Production Sheets: Complete daily production sheets and ensure all food items are properly stored and dated.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Follow all HACCP guidelines in utilizing leftovers and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Teamwork: Assist fellow team members at every opportunity and perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Standing and/or walking - 100% of time; occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
