Assistant Director, Anesthesiologist Assistant Program

About the PositionThis is a 12-month, non-tenure position that combines faculty and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring the efficient operation of the didactic and clinical phases of the program.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the recruitment of students and participate in the interview and application process.
- Establish criteria for admissions, curriculum content, and performance criteria for students in conjunction with the Program Director and faculty.
- Identify areas of budgetary need and allocate resources.
- Interact with faculty and administration to promote the Program's goals and academic development.
- Oversee and recommend appropriate Information Technology to enhance faculty and student experiences.
- Provide leadership for the formulation and revision of policies, procedures, and objectives for the Program.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of principle faculty, adjunct faculty, staff, and clinical sites and preceptors.
- Maintain student and administrative records.
- Participate in local and national organizations to ensure Program excellence and appropriateness of the curriculum and instruction.
- Participate in scholarly activities to ensure personal growth.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or higher in a related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience as an Anesthesiologist Assistant or a physician with a minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are required, as well as a collaborative approach to education and clinical medicine.
