About the Role

Aston Carter is seeking a highly skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining the master data for a subset of our customer base, ensuring invoices are sent timely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Debt Collection: Maintain receivables at a minimum of 95% within 90 days or less.
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor application of daily, weekly, and monthly processes to ensure all Credit Controllers are performing best practices within the organization.
  • Reporting and Reconciliation: Assist with month-end reports/reconciliations of the entire portfolio, including bad debt provisions and process level write-ups.
  • Training and Development: Assist the Order to Cash Manager in hands-on training for the team to ensure consistent application of processes and procedures.
  • Customer Service: Facilitate the payment of customer debt through positive customer service.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Support the finance team, assisting with any ad-hoc projects.
  • Accuracy and Timeliness: Ensure timeliness of tasks, reports, and projects, and accuracy of information and projects completed.
Requirements
  • B2B Collections Experience: Proven experience in B2B collections.
  • High-Volume Environment: Experience working in a high-volume environment.
  • ERP Experience: Large ERP experience, with SAP experience a plus.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English, with fluency in Spanish a plus.
  • Customer Service: Positive customer service skills.
  • Persuasive Communication: Persuasive communication skills.
  • Tenacity: Tenacious with good follow-through.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail.
