Job Summary

The Portfolio Optimization Manager is responsible for managing the company's forward position and price exposure resulting from transactions of physical sales, supply, and transportation assets. This role requires knowledge of financial products, including natural gas basis and outright Nymex futures, transacting through both an exchange and over the counter.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or business
  • 10 years of experience in the energy industry, with at least 5 in a financial trading role and 2 years managing people
  • Understanding of clearing mechanisms and working with a Financial Clearing Member
  • Experience working with large amounts of data and able to use software tools to help analyze data
  • Knowledge of derivatives, futures, and different natural gas commodity products
  • Strong understanding of the energy industry and drivers of commodity prices
  • Able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of risk management tools, demonstrated analytical and financial skills, and ability to develop, as well as tactically execute, business strategies
