Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Portfolio Management Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and tracking of IT projects within our organization. This role involves managing the IT project portfolio to ensure alignment with business objectives, optimizing resource allocation, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the IT project portfolio, ensuring projects are aligned with the organization's strategic goals and priorities.
  • Evaluate and prioritize projects based on business value, resource capacity, and risk.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure assignments are completed in accordance with established guidelines and advice on conflicting priorities.
  • Establish and maintain governance processes for portfolio management. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor portfolio performance.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify technology needs and opportunities and works with internal IT groups to provide effective solutions to address business needs.
  • Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives and techniques within the IT portfolio management function.
  • Implement best practices, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking of the IT project portfolio. Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and financial targets.
  • Assists in the development and management of the department budget, tracking expenses, and ensures that resources are allocated effectively to meet business requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or other computer-related degree required.
  • 10+ years of diversified IT experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT portfolio management and proven track record managing complex IT portfolios required.
  • 3+ years of experience directly leading professional staff required.
  • SAFe Lean Portfolio Management Certification preferred.
