Senior Support Specialist

Vrakas CPAs + Advisors is a leading provider of assurance, tax, and client accounting and advisory services. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Support Specialist to join our team of talented professionals.
As a Senior Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the tax department by performing a range of administrative tasks, including assisting with the scanning and sorting of work papers, assigning tax preparers to returns, and managing the workflow process.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of electronic workflow software and provide training to the team
- Establish standard operating procedures across multiple offices
- Provide essential support to the tax department by performing administrative tasks
- Assist with the filing and archiving of tax records in compliance with legal and company requirements
- Generate reports and summaries as required by the tax team
- Schedule and coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items
- Prepare correspondence and documentation for clients as needed
- Answer phones, handle correspondence, and manage email communications
- Provide general administrative support to internal and external parties as needed
Requirements:
- 8+ years of administrative support experience in public accounting or a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, and Zoom
- Advanced knowledge in Word and Excel specifically
- Familiarity with tax software and document management systems a plus
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Consistently dependable with a demonstrated ability to listen, anticipate, and respond to service needs
- Problem solver who takes initiative and is eager to learn
- Self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team
