About the Role

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and providing a positive experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Veterinarians and Surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Monitor Anesthesia and vital signs, providing critical support during surgical cases.
  • Prepare and Assist with surgical procedures, including patient positioning, instrument handling, and suturing.
  • Perform Radiology and Laboratory Work, including radiographic imaging and laboratory testing.
  • Provide Compassionate Care to hospitalized animals, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Collaborate with Veterinary Technicians and Support Staff to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in a veterinary surgery department, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills, with the ability to work effectively with veterinarians, support staff, and clients.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
