Overview:

The MetroHealth System is dedicated to addressing community health needs and is in the process of establishing a new 110-bed inpatient behavioral health facility in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. This facility will feature specialized units catering to various populations, including adolescents, geriatrics, and adults with psychiatric conditions, substance use disorders, thought disorders, and mood disorders. Additionally, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment programs will be integrated into this facility.

Position Summary:

We are in search of highly skilled and adaptable individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional healthcare as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. The roles available include:

  • Adult inpatient nocturnist
  • Adolescent inpatient

Key Responsibilities:

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide direct patient care aligned with your education, experience, and certification in collaboration with a physician. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and managing health care issues, including referrals as necessary.
  • Promoting health and wellness within the community through preventive care and patient advocacy.
  • Managing complex health conditions and delivering specialized care.
  • Upholding the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or eligibility under Ohio Revised Code.
  • Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program.
  • Current registered nurse licensure in Ohio as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the PMHNP specialty.
  • A minimum of one year of inpatient clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, demonstrating the ability to work independently.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Acquisition of other advanced life support certifications relevant to the practice area within 180 days of hire.
  • Meeting the requirements for clinical privileges in the specialty/department with The MetroHealth System.
  • Maintaining a standard care arrangement and renewing it as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
