Position Overview: Adult Psychiatrist for Inpatient Care
The Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Cleveland Clinic is actively seeking qualified Adult Psychiatrists to join our esteemed team. This role involves delivering comprehensive psychiatric care at our inpatient facilities. Candidates must hold board certification from the ABPN, with a preference for those possessing expertise in geriatric psychiatry.
Our hospitals are equipped with a significant number of inpatient psychiatric beds (100 at one facility and 58 at another), supported by a dedicated leadership team, experienced psychiatry directors, and a collaborative group of healthcare professionals, including physicians and nursing staff.
The inpatient psychiatry service is a vital component of our Department's mission and strategic objectives, ensuring high-quality care for our patients.
In addition to inpatient responsibilities, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to establish an outpatient psychiatry clinic, allowing for the development of specialized services. There are also academic and research opportunities available, particularly in advanced therapeutic methods and innovative treatment trials. Teaching opportunities for psychiatry residents and medical students will enhance the candidate's professional experience within a supportive and collegial environment.
This role includes a weekend call schedule of 1 in 7 weekends, providing a balanced work-life dynamic.
