Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be the eyes and ears of Videojet, providing service and support to customers through various interactions. You will be responsible for installing our products and solutions at customer locations, diagnosing and resolving challenges and problems, and becoming a trusted advisor and partner for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing care and support for our customer's equipment
  • Install our products and solutions at customer locations
  • Diagnose and resolve challenges and problems
  • Become a trusted advisor and partner for our customers, to develop excellent relationships
  • Extend our Videojet footprint in the market by promoting our service agreements and newer technology
Requirements
  • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel (initial training requires consecutive weeks in Wood Dale, including weekends)
  • Up to two years of technical experience
  • Basic computer/technical skills (can use email, software, phone apps, Microsoft Word)
  • Compliance with PPE, safety and registration requirements of customers
  • Ability to perform and/or tolerate all physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation, including but not limited to:
    • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
    • Twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing, walking and kneeling.
    • Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.
    • Use of hand tools and manual dexterity.
    • Exposure to a wide variety of manufacturing environments, including but not limited to: food, food processing, animal processing, heat, humidity, cold, noise, and dust.

The compensation range for this role is $26.00 - $28.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Commission Pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
