About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team at Videojet, a leading global manufacturer of coding and marking solutions. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service and support to our customers, ensuring their equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing care and support for our customer's equipment, ensuring it is running at optimal levels.
  • Install our products and solutions at customer locations, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Diagnose and resolve challenges and problems, using your technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Become a trusted advisor and partner for our customers, developing excellent relationships and driving results.
  • Extend our Videojet footprint in the market by promoting our service agreements and newer technology.
Requirements
  • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel (initial training requires consecutive weeks in Wood Dale, including weekends).
  • Up to two years of technical experience.
  • Basic computer/technical skills (can use email, software, phone apps, Microsoft Word).
  • Compliance with PPE, safety, and registration requirements of customers.
  • Ability to perform and/or tolerate all physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation, including but not limited to:
    • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
    • Twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing, walking, and kneeling.
    • Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.
    • Use of hand tools and manual dexterity.
    • Exposure to a wide variety of manufacturing environments, including but not limited to: food, food processing, animal processing, heat, humidity, cold, noise, and dust.
