Job Summary

A recent college graduate hired as a Talent Development Professional in Cement will embark on a concentrated 12-month rotational hands-on developmental program.

This will introduce skills and opportunities to further build your college skillset for a successful career at CEMEX USA.

Talent Development Professionals from all business units will experience day-to-day operations and project-based learning to collaborate and network with others by being introduced to CEMEX's core business units.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in a rotational program involving field-based responsibilities, project assignments, hands-on training, simulations, and other experiential learning opportunities.
  • Apply knowledge of business operations and vertically integrated business model.
  • Ability to work outdoors for 80% of the time.
  • Lead and adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and/or MSHA rules and regulations.
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards, be an advocate for safety.
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in one of the following degrees:

Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic/Manufacturing Engineering, Mining/Materials Science Engineering or similar majors.

GPA of 2.5 and above (3.0 preferred).

2 years of relevant experience (heavy or manufacturing industry is preferred), including placements, co-op, or internships.

Working Conditions
  • Ability to participate in required overnight travel as necessary.
  • Exposure to environmental conditions including heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.
  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location.
  • Willingness to relocate domestically.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
  • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls.
