We are a leading provider of MEP consulting and design engineering services, seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Miami, FL.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to lead small to medium-scale HVAC projects and develop mechanical HVAC engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have exceptional working knowledge of building design, with emphasis on multifamily residential, mixed-use high-rise, hospitality, and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various types of inspections, testing, and produce plans, specifications, and reports for clients.
  • Lead small to medium-scale HVAC projects and the roll out of mechanical HVAC engineering initiatives.
  • Assist with development and implementation of mechanical HVAC engineering design standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Effectively interact with other internal and external teams.
  • Coordinate and manage internal kick-off, milestone, and closeout meetings for projects.
  • Verify schedules and ensure adherence to project plans and timelines.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, documenting existing conditions, performing field testing, photographing, and creating hand-sketches.
  • Prepare written correspondence with clients and contractors, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Understand investigation reports and bid documents, including drawings and technical specifications.
  • Communicate project status and proactively address any issues or discrepancies that arise.
  • Maintain organized records, files, drawings, and other essential project data.
  • Collect post-project feedback to identify areas of improvement and communicate this feedback to their direct supervisor.
  • Keep up to date with job knowledge and industry trends through active participation in educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and engaging in professional societies and networks.
  • Engage in networking activities and represent the company at events, seminars, continuing education presentations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Five plus years of experience in MEP Consulting and design engineering services environment.
  • Professional Engineer license required.
  • OSHA-10 Certification preferred.
  • Valid United States Driver's License required.
