Position Overview: The role involves performing routine tasks while utilizing necessary equipment to cut and thread pipes, create fittings, bundle pipes, and maintain cleanliness in the workspace. A fundamental understanding of all fabrication processes and industry standards is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize rotary chop saw and band saw for precise pipe cutting.
- Manage the movement of pipes along the table and offload them onto carts or crates for staging.
- Operate grooving machines for the grooved pipe end process.
- Use threaders to apply threads to pipes as required.
- Employ fitting machines to attach fittings to the specified pipes.
- Cut threaded rods to designated lengths using a band saw.
- Install hanger devices to threaded rods as per specifications.
- Utilize bench grinders to prepare threaded rod ends for hanger device applications.
- Transport pipe carts to the loading area as needed.
- Operate pneumatic staple guns for securing cardboard boxes to pallets.
- Employ forklifts when necessary to retrieve materials and move pipes.
- Prepare pipe bundles for shipment using pneumatic banders when required.
- Complete the training curriculum, including safety requirements, demonstrating a satisfactory level of competence as defined by management.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed to meet the company's and customers' requirements as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a production multitask environment under time constraints.
- Previous welding experience is advantageous, with the potential to become certified.
- Basic arithmetic skills are necessary, including the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
