About the Role:

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Branch Operations Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Management: Ensure the facility is open and closed according to established procedures, conduct regular walk-throughs to identify and address any issues.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to members, respond to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support branch staff, provide guidance and training as needed to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Safety and Security: Respond to emergencies and incidents, ensure the facility is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining records.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a customer-facing environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Certifications: Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certification, YMCA Lifeguarding or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
