Job Title: Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at ACS Professional Staffing. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for testing substation equipment, including power circuit breakers, transformers, and control systems under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct equipment verification tests to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of electrical systems, including the implementation of new technologies and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support during installations and troubleshooting, working closely with senior engineers and other team members.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks.
  • Gather information for reports and calculations to support engineering solutions for electrical systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
  • 6 months of experience in electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Training or experience in Power Systems Engineering sufficient to allow knowledge development of design standards through on-the-job training.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical prints: one-lines, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine how the protection and control systems operate.
