Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Specialist to support the objectives of our financial department. This role involves assisting with the collection of accounts receivable and preparing necessary reconciliations. The ideal candidate will analyze financial discrepancies and prepare journal entries as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist billing specialists with the Accounts Receivable module in the financial system.
  • Review and post deposits in a timely manner.
  • Prepare reconciliations of accounts and sub-ledgers, along with supporting schedules and work papers.
  • Conduct variance analysis and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Provide documentation for internal and state audit requests.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance customer service standards.
  • Address and resolve issues effectively.
  • Act as a liaison between the financial department and other stakeholders.
  • Support special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field with at least 6 credits in Accounting; OR four years of relevant experience including one year in an accounting role; OR a combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP/GL systems.
  • Familiarity with the Accounts Receivable cycle.
  • Proficient in Excel.

Job Category: Administrative

Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000

Work Schedule:
Start Time: 8:30 AM
End Time: 5:00 PM

Working Conditions:
Must be able to operate a computer for 50% or more of the workday.
