Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at Pediatric Associates. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check-in patients upon arrival, updating demographics, insurance information, and collecting payments.
  • Verify patient insurance and contact patients with inactive or inappropriate coverage.
  • Post patient charges and payments, and complete charge and payment reconciliation.
  • Scan and upload documents in our Document Management system.
  • Sort and deliver mail and PA documents received by courier.
  • Participate in staff and educational meetings.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting.
  • Active and valid driver's license.
  • Proficient grammar, spelling, and verbal skills to communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of computer and medical terminology desired.
  • Interact effectively with staff and maintain a professional working relation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and greet patients/visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and use good judgment.

  • 15%-20% of travel to other office locations as needed with reimbursement outlined per company policy
  • Designated Medical Receptionist float staff will be assigned to multiple designated office locations as applicable
