Grant Thornton is looking for a Senior Audit Manager to become a vital part of our dynamic team.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise and leadership capabilities to orchestrate and oversee the execution of financial statement audits. Your experience will be invaluable in assisting engagement teams in navigating complex business challenges and scrutinizing intricate technical issues and disclosures. You will cultivate strong relationships with clients and your teams, utilizing our advanced audit technology to collaborate effectively, innovate solutions, and engage in significant business discussions. From the outset, you will have direct access to firm leaders and comprehensive training programs, alongside opportunities to enhance both the firm and your professional journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and guiding multiple engagement teams simultaneously to ensure the successful completion of financial statement audits.
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with clients regarding engagement and service expectations, swiftly addressing any technical or service-related challenges.
  • Acting as a proactive problem solver and a trusted business advisor to clients across various improvement initiatives.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff, providing regular and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Working on-site with clients, in the office, or remotely, as needed. We empower teams to prioritize client and teammate expectations, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
  • Representing Grant Thornton at recruitment and professional networking events.
  • Enhancing your technical and professional skills through structured training programs.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in public accounting with a mid-sized or large firm.
  • An active CPA license is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills, with proficiency in US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
  • A commitment to expanding your professional network and experience in business development.
  • A collaborative mindset, valuing teamwork and the importance of building robust relationships.
  • A curiosity about or experience with automation and digital tools in the audit or professional services context.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary (approximately 25%).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
