Patient Experience Representative - Hybrid: Learning Disabilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Experience Representative to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Neurology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide positive and effective customer service to patients, families, and visitors
  • Collaborate with referring providers and practices to ensure seamless patient care
  • Obtain required authorizations and compile patient and staff schedules
  • Schedule patients and support the patient encounter
  • Reconcile payments and prepare deposits, providing record of transactions in Hospital systems
  • Facilitate and direct communication with Financial Counseling
  • Provide routine clerical support as needed

Requirements:

  • A high school level of education, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Prior customer service or administrative experience preferred
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations
  • The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies
