Job Overview

The Autism Support Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is essential in supporting individuals with autism. Role Responsibilities

As a Behavior Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering individualized ABA therapy in various settings, including home, school, and community
  • Implementing personalized treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address specific needs
  • Executing behavior intervention strategies designed by the BCBA
  • Gathering data through observations and submitting comprehensive session reports
  • Engaging in training sessions and team discussions
  • Collaborating with supervisors and fellow team members
  • Addressing areas such as language development, functional communication, social skills, daily living skills, behavior reduction, community safety, toilet training, and executive functioning
Qualifications
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client locations, including homes and schools
  • Experience working with children or relevant experience is essential
  • Related experience may include roles such as paraprofessional, special education aide, childcare provider, or direct support specialist
  • Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is preferred
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Completion of the online 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training course is required within the first month of employment
  • RBT certification through the BACB is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary
  • Commitment to a consistent schedule, strong attendance, and a solid work ethic are required
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are necessary
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, including child abuse clearances, is mandatory
