Position Overview:

The Behavioral Support Technician plays a crucial role in assisting educational personnel during challenging situations involving student behavior and mental health concerns. This position is responsible for conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and working collaboratively with staff to create and execute Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Additionally, the technician will apply Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) techniques as necessary for students with special needs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students experiencing crises by utilizing Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI) methods.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to understand student behavior.
  • Collaborate with educational staff during critical incidents involving students.
  • Gather, analyze, and evaluate data related to student behavior.
  • Engage with school personnel in the development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Monitor the execution of BIPs and offer constructive feedback to staff.
  • Perform additional related tasks as required.

Compensation:
Starting salary from $19.50 per hour
Employment Duration:
10-month term
