Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team at Bilingual Therapies. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a critical role in delivering specialized support to students with Autism and other special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide targeted instruction and support in Autism and Adapted Curriculum classrooms to help students achieve their academic and IEP goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents to promote student success and ensure a cohesive educational experience.
  • Track and record progress in relation to IEP goals, making data-driven decisions to inform instruction and support.
  • Support students in both elementary and middle school environments, adapting instruction to meet the diverse needs of each student.
Caseload Information
  • Two Autism classrooms at NB Mills Elementary and Troutman Middle School, requiring a strong understanding of Autism support strategies.
  • One Adapted Curriculum classroom at Troutman Elementary School, focusing on academic growth and IEP goal achievement for students with special needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Special Education teaching certification for North Carolina.
  • Experience in Autism and Adapted Curriculum settings is preferred, with a strong understanding of IEP procedures and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
