Job Overview

Manager: Shop Manager

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Overtime may be required as per management's discretion

Key Responsibilities:

Communication:

  • Conduct daily check-ins with the manager at morning, lunch, and end of day.
  • Participate in maintenance meetings.
  • Log daily hours and tasks using an iPad.
  • Utilize E360 for tracking tasks and time spent on equipment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer and iPad applications.

Shop and Yard Duties:

  • Secure and lock the yard at the end of each day.
  • Ensure a tidy workspace and organized tool storage.
  • Monitor and replenish shop tool and supply inventories.
  • Safely operate a forklift for unloading deliveries.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled servicing on all equipment and engines.
  • Diagnose and repair machinery as needed.
  • Conduct DOT inspections and execute preventative maintenance.
  • Utilize Equipment360 for accurate inspections.
  • Engage in basic welding and fabrication tasks for equipment parts.
  • Create and manage work orders for identified repairs.
  • Ensure timely completion of work orders based on service type.
  • Order and manage inventory of parts, including filters and other supplies.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with accounting to maintain equipment compliance.
  • Assist in ARB hour collection and upkeep of compliance documents in E360.
Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $22 – $34.50 per hour; full-time position.

Additional Compensation Opportunities:

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in automotive or lube technician roles.
  • Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks such as crouching and standing for extended periods.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Welding and Fabrication.
  • Basic Electrical knowledge.
  • Experience with Engine repair and advanced mechanical repairs.
  • Background in Diesel or Heavy Equipment maintenance.
  • Valid commercial driver's license.
