GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Technical Specialist 1 to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our geotechnical engineering team, you will provide technical support for projects in the Energy, Transportation, and Community Development business units.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform geotechnical engineering assignments involving investigations for various facilities, including foundations, embankments, and cut slopes.
- Design geotechnical engineering solutions for natural gas pipelines, compressor stations, waste landfills, and impoundments.
- Develop geotechnical monitoring and laboratory testing programs.
- Prepare geotechnical engineering designs involving rock/soil slope stability, cut slope and fill embankment design, landslide stabilization, and geotechnical field instrumentation.
- Lead geotechnical investigation and construction support services, including test boring monitoring and logging, site reconnaissance, and foundation and retaining structure construction monitoring and inspection.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
