The Director - EHRS serves as the primary environmental and safety leader and contact for a multi-site campus supporting biopharmaceutical research and discovery, non-clinical manufacturing, clinical testing, analytical development and characterization, and vivarium operations. This role will provide organization-wide impact and leadership to establish high compliance standards and collaboration for a robust safety culture within each of our unique spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies, processes, systems, procedures, and metrics to achieve excellent EHRS outcomes and performance.
  • Provide organization-wide impact and leadership to establish high compliance standards and collaboration for a robust safety culture.
  • Serve as the EHS representative to clients, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage EHS policies, animal safety, standards, programs, and procedures, preferably at a Biotech or Life Sciences company.
  • Compliance oriented mindset with demonstrated competence in developing and implementing strategy, responding to challenges, maintaining critical documentation, and mitigating risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and 7+ years of relevant industrial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Professional Certification preferred.
  • Supervisory Experience preferred.
