Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Materials Handler to join our team at the Architect of the Capitol. As a Materials Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and supplies to various departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Store and maintain inventory levels in a safe and organized manner
  • Operate a forklift to move materials and supplies within the warehouse
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks and other vehicles
  • Participate in periodic inventory counts and audits
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
Requirements
  • Valid District of Columbia (D.C.) or State Driver's License
  • Certificate as a Powered Industrial Truck Operator to operate a Forklift in accordance with 29 CFR 1)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced warehouse environment with frequent lifting, bending, and standing. The selectee must be able to pass a drug test and undergo a background check.
