Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits package

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Superintendent to join our team in the southern part of Illinois. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing individual projects, managing a highly effective team of Construction Superintendents, and ensuring quality standards are met.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project development, including conducting field walks, assisting in value engineering, providing knowledge and field experience to project designs, and assisting in the permitting process.
  • Work closely with the Commissioning and Closeout team to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Develop risk assessments and execute SWPPP and additional Best Management Practices as needed.
  • Assist in driving the commissioning and closeout process, including as-builts, warranties, permit documents, commissioning docs, and O&M manuals.
  • Analyze project data and budget and assist in decision-making.
  • Lead by example and enforce company and regulatory safety policies and procedures.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with contractors, consultants, and project managers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of construction management experience, preferably in the solar industry.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project, and various other construction management tools.
  • Understanding of medium voltage systems and equipment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards; OSHA 10 is a minimum requirement.
  • Maintains professional licenses in trade (i.e., CSL, NABCEP PV, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel up to 3-4 days per week to job sites.
  • Valid and current driver's license.

  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
