Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuro ICU team in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients with neurological diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in unit-based research efforts and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, providing individualized care to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient preferences.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, including medication management, wound care, and pain management.
  • Participate in unit-based research efforts, contributing to the development of new treatments and care protocols.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure in Massachusetts as a registered nurse.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Neuro and critical care experience preferred, but candidates with experience in general acute care and a strong interest in neuroscience will also be considered.
  • Ability to work a day/night rotation shift.
