Mixologist and Beverage Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mixologist and Beverage Specialist to join our team at Carowinds. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and providing top-notch service at our bar.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine, to our guests.
  • Take orders and serve bar bites prepared by our culinary team.
  • Monitor and manage alcohol sales and consumption, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
  • Balance shift reports and cash drawer, process credit card payments, and handle guest transactions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering guest questions and offering information about our property and local area.
  • Participate in pre- and post-shift clean-up activities to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Take initiative and maintain our company's reputation for safety, service, courtesy, cleanliness, and integrity.
  • Ability to learn our point-of-sale system.
  • Work collaboratively in a team setting and independently as needed.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Pass a background check if 18 years of age or older, which may include but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references per company policy unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
