If you excel in overseeing subcontractors, guiding skilled labor, and ensuring safety and compliance at construction sites, you may be the ideal candidate for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate subcontractor progress against established timelines and performance metrics to guarantee timely and high-quality project completion.
- Initiate the development of a formal plan for homeowners, including a detailed cost estimate for the project.
- Reduce injuries and delays on construction projects by enforcing strict adherence to health and safety standards, and promptly reporting any issues to the project manager.
- Ensure that every construction project results in a high-quality finished product by supervising construction personnel, conducting regular on-site inspections, and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain daily records of progress and repair updates for both the project manager and homeowners.
- Under the guidance of the Project Manager, oversee and manage on-site project activities systematically to ensure projects are executed on time, safely, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Review daily and weekly project requirements, document progress, and communicate updates to project managers.
- Order materials and coordinate their delivery.
- Manage labor and materials on-site while coordinating all necessary inspections and compliance events.
- Oversee daily field operations to ensure site safety, construction progress, and quality control.
- Ensure a clean and organized worksite.
- Conduct inspections and supervise multiple crews across various projects.
- Ensure the complete execution of the punch list.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, time-management, and communication skills.
- A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- A general contractor's license is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, and project management principles.
- A minimum of 18 months of experience in construction, restoration, or renovations; 3 years preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and reports.
- Willingness to participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule.
- Experience with Xactimate is a significant advantage.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-disciplined with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually.
