Job Opportunity

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Lactation Consultant and Educator to join our Labor and Delivery Department.

This full-time position offers a unique blend of lactation education, childbirth education, and OB unit education, with opportunities to work with patients and families in a supportive and collaborative environment.

As a Lactation Consultant and Educator, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to patients and families, promoting optimal breastfeeding outcomes and empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing lactation education and support to patients and families
  • Developing and implementing lactation education programs
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers to promote optimal breastfeeding outcomes
  • Providing childbirth education classes to the public
  • Working with the OB unit to provide education and support to patients and families

Requirements:

  • Active Indiana State Registered Nurse License
  • CPR Certified
  • NRP Certified
  • Corporate Compliance
  • Annual Flu vaccine
  • Annual Fire/Safety Training
