Lactation Consultant and Educator

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Lactation Consultant and Educator to join our Labor and Delivery Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide lactation education and classes to patients and their families
• Develop and implement lactation education programs
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
• Conduct assessments and provide guidance on breastfeeding techniques
• Plan and present Childbirth Education classes to the public

Requirements:

• Active Indiana State Registered Nurse License
• CPR Certification
• NRP Certification
• Corporate Compliance
• Annual Flu vaccine
• Annual Fire/Safety Training

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year experience as OB nurse or nurse with childbirth education training
• Lactation counselor certification
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
