Job Title: Lactation Consultant and Educator

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Lactation Consultant and Educator to join our Labor and Delivery Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing lactation education and support to our patients, as well as teaching childbirth education classes to the public.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide lactation education and support to patients in our Labor and Delivery Department
  • Teach childbirth education classes to the public on an as-needed basis
  • Collaborate with our nursing team to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement lactation education programs for our patients and staff
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest lactation research and best practices
Requirements:
  • Active Indiana State Registered Nurse License
  • CPR Certification
  • NRP Certification
  • Corporate Compliance
  • Annual Flu Vaccine
  • Annual Fire/Safety Training
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year experience as an OB nurse or nurse with childbirth education training
  • Lactation counselor certification
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
