Job Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead multiple teams and drive success at one of the world's leading financial institutions, JPMorgan Chase.

As a Technical Manager of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for guiding multiple teams and managing day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team's work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
  • Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and foster continuous improvement
  • Set the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
  • Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
  • Create a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritize diverse representation
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
  • Proven experience as a technical manager in a software engineering environment
  • Experience working at code level in one or more programming languages: Java, Spring Boot, JPA, SQL, REST, Angular/React
  • Experience leading technology projects
  • Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Practical cloud native experience working with microservices and distributed transaction management
