CMM Operations and Quality Assurance

As a CMM Operations Specialist at Tech M USAAvance Consulting, you will be responsible for operating and programming CMM machines to measure and inspect BIW components. You will develop and modify CMM programs to accommodate new parts and changes in design, and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to create accurate measurement plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate CMM machines to measure and inspect BIW components
Develop and modify CMM programs to accommodate new parts and changes in design
Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to create accurate measurement plans

Quality Inspection and Data Analysis

You will perform detailed inspections of BIW components to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards. You will analyze measurement data and generate comprehensive inspection reports, and identify and document any deviations or non-conformities, and collaborate with the production team to address issues.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, Polyworks) and CAD software
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree or technical certification in metrology, quality control, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and programming CMM machines, preferably in an automotive BIW environment
