We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as the Lead Director of Federal Government Affairs. This role plays a key part in developing CVS Health's Congressional relationships, building reputation, and enhancing long-term objectives through complex advocacy and campaign strategies.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes, strong relationships with Democratic Members of Congress, and the ability to nimbly respond in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple issues and priorities. They will partner closely with internal policy teams to align priorities and efforts and maximize resources, coordinating with cross-company Diversity and business teams to educate policymakers about key company initiatives.
This position requires a self-starter who can think strategically to problem-solve, communicate effectively with senior executives and high-level government officials, and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead legislative advocacy strategies to support the company's advocacy/reputation agenda.
- Identify and develop relationships with key Members of Congress.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of overall work experience.
- 5+ years Congressional/lobbying experience.
- Experience in the Federal Government (Legislative and/or Executive Branch).
- Experience devising multifaceted issue campaigns and advancing advocacy strategies to a positive conclusion on behalf of an organization or member of Congress.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation Package
We offer a highly competitive salary range of $144,200.00 - $288,400.00, along with a bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program. Additionally, you will be eligible for our equity award program and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. You will also have access to our 401(k) retirement savings plan and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
