Trade Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Trade Specialist to join our team at King's Daughters. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment, as well as performing various tasks related to facilities maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, HVAC systems, and machines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating and cleaning parts, and inspecting used parts of devices and control instruments.
- Install and repair electrical equipment, and initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
- Install glass in windows, doors, and partitions, and replace damaged ceiling tiles, grid, floor tile, and wall coverings.
- Build, repair, and install countertops, cabinets, benches, partitions, shelving units, furniture, flooring, framing, doors, and trim.
- Repair partitions, hang and finish drywall, paint, and wallcovering.
- Complete PMs and reactive maintenance repairs, requiring skills in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; mechanical repairs - pumps, motors; plumbing; electrical; instrumentation.
- Maintain and complete CMs on HVAC equipment within the health system.
- Thoroughly and accurately complete reactive and preventative maintenance paperwork.
- Start devices to test their performance, and set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Maintain clean grounds, walks, and driveways by completing tasks such as mowing and trimming lawns, shrubs, and trees; removing litter; clearing snow; clearing leaves and drainage; and keeping related equipment in proper function.
- Provide office fixture installation, and move offices, equipment, and/or supplies into or out of the Medical Center as directed.
- Minimum requirement: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), current driver's license, and one-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred qualifications: Three to six months related experience and/or training, and Associate in Applied Science.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with constant exposure to moving mechanical parts, frequent exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, and frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat.
Physical DemandsThe successful candidate will be required to frequently move about throughout the department and facility, frequently use fine motor skills to handle and operate instruments/devices, and constantly stand.
