Academic Records Coordinator

As an Academic Records Coordinator at Loyola Marymount University, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of student academic records. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills, as you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing transfer credits, maintaining articulations in Banner, and providing quality customer service to students and faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of system programs and stay up-to-date on changes in office procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Determine transferability of courses and research, review, and evaluate courses to determine Core fulfillment and major articulation.
- Build and code transfer courses in Banner, running monthly reports to ensure the accuracy of the database.
- Assist the Articulation Officer with the annual articulation review process and other duties as assigned by the University Registrar or Articulation Officer.
Requirements:
- Typically a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the areas of registrar/academic records/student systems, preferably in an academic community.
- Proficiency in Banner, ASSIST, and transfer systems is strongly preferred.
- Exemplary communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the University organization and diverse populations.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and work in a fast-paced environment.
